Ten Lessons From Women of WORTH in 2025

As we head into 2026, let’s remind ourselves of moments this year to help us feel a little stronger and a little braver. Screenshot them, stick them to your fridge, tape them to your laptop. Whatever it takes, remember, you’ve got this.

1. “Make your mark. Give it everything you’ve got. No regrets.” - Mélanie Mark, Founder of Remarkable First Nations Regenerative Industries & HLI HAYKWHL ẂII XSGAAK Consulting

Take the risk, pour yourself into it, and trust that giving your all is what moves you forward.

2. “Take the step; you’re more ready than you think.” - Joanna Jagger, WORTH Association

Readiness is built in doing, and courage often begins with one small, imperfect step forward.

3. “Imposter syndrome doesn’t mean you’re unqualified, it means you’re expanding beyond your comfort zone and on the edge of something important.” - Shelby Lim, The Connect Collaborative

Confidence follows action. Step into spaces before you feel 100% ready.

4. “Be brave. Have uncomfortable conversations.” - Sarah Meconse Mierau, Tradish

The hardest conversations are often the ones that move us forward.

5. “Ground yourself and take a breath.” - Kimberly Flear, Last Call Coaching

Stillness creates strength. A breath before the next decision can mean the difference between reaction and intention.

6. “If you have the power to change someone’s life, do it.” - Amal Masri, Fix the Broken Rung

The broken rung is real. If you’re in a position to lift someone up, do it. Your support can change their life.

7. “Share her story when she’s not in the room.” - Michelle Akimow, Gordon Food Service

Speaking their name in a room someone hasn’t entered yet, that’s what solidarity looks like.

8. “When you advocate for yourself, you raise the bar for all women.”,  Marion Harper Treskin, TRN Consulting & WORTH Association Board Chair

Equity is built one conversation, one boundary, one brave ask at a time.

9. “Someone is watching. You’re inspiring future generations of women to take on big roles and big risks.” - Nicole Davidson, Beacon HR

Your bravery today becomes someone else’s blueprint tomorrow.

10.  “Community is built through action.” Talaysay Campo, Talaysay Tours

What steps are you taking towards community building in the year ahead?

As we close out 2025, we’re holding these lessons close, and carrying them boldly into 2026.

Be proud of your resilience. Take the step. Tell your story.

Because the next woman is following behind you.
