Empower Her: Four Stops, One Vision

As our four-city event tour comes to a close, WORTH Association extends its heartfelt gratitude to each attendee, panellist, volunteer and supporter who made these evenings of inspiration and connection possible.

Empower Her aims to challenge and inspire, by hosting engaging panel discussions and providing networking opportunities. By bringing together the top female leaders in British Columbia's recreation, tourism, and hospitality sectors, these events sparked insightful conversations about the challenges faced by women in the workplace. They served as a platform for collective progress towards gender equality and leadership opportunities, fostering meaningful relationships, encouraging mentorship, and inspiring the next generation of leaders.

Inspiring Perspectives:
A key highlight of each evening was the engaging panel discussion, featuring accomplished women in the recreation, tourism, and hospitality sectors. These panellists brought their unique experiences, insights, and expertise to the forefront, shedding light on the challenges women face in the industry and offering potential solutions. From discussing gender disparity in leadership roles to addressing work-life balance, the panellists sparked a rich dialogue, encouraging attendees to reflect upon their own experiences and actively contribute to the conversation. Thank you to each and every panellist and moderator for your insights.

Collective Empowerment:
At the core of Empower Her events is the mission to empower women to take charge of their careers and become catalysts for change in their workplaces. The inspiring ideas shared during the panel discussions encouraged attendees to challenge the status quo and embrace their roles as change agents. By collectively identifying barriers women face in the industry and brainstorming solutions, the events aim to inspire actionable steps towards gender equality and the acceleration of women into senior positions.

Attendees had the chance to connect with industry leaders, share experiences, and forge valuable professional relationships. Witnessing the vibrant energy, the connections being formed, and the impassioned discussions that took place across each city was truly heartwarming.

Building Community:
We extend special appreciation to the four event planning committees who worked tirelessly to bring each event to life. The efforts put into planning and executing these impactful events have contributed to creating a supportive community and inspiring positive change.

None of the success of the Empower Her events would have been possible without the invaluable support of our amazing sponsors and generous silent auction donors.
