Sophia’s Story

When Sophia moved to Canada from Ukraine, she was determined to build a new life in Vancouver’s hospitality industry while raising her son as a single mother. She joined WORTH Academy seeking confidence, clarity, and a stronger sense of direction.

Through mentorship and the Academy’s leadership sessions, Sophia learned to lead with intention, set clear boundaries, and align her goals with her values. “I walked away from that experience feeling more confident, more heard, and more capable.”

Today, Sophia works as an event planner, contributing to major events including Vancouver Fashion Week, the WNORTH conference, and the WORTH Summer Social. “WORTH helped me rebuild my confidence, amplify my voice, and strengthen my sense of purpose.”

Her journey is proof of what’s possible when women are given the space, tools, and support to thrive.
