Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator

Location: Remote/Hybrid. The Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator will be required to attend on-site events and in-person meetings occasionally in Metro Vancouver. Some travel to destinations in BC may be required. 

Duration: 12 weeks, September to November 2025

Hours: 20 hours per week, flexible scheduling

Compensation: $20.52/hour

Job Overview:

This role is offered in partnership with Propel, a federally funded Student Work Placement Program (SWPP) that connects post-secondary students with meaningful work experience in the tourism and hospitality sector. We’re looking for a Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator to join us on a part-time, temporary employment contract this fall. This role is ideal for a student studying hospitality, tourism, business administration, sales, marketing, or communications who is eager to develop hands-on skills in nonprofit marketing and fundraising. You will work closely with our Communications & Community Manager to plan and execute campaigns, create compelling content, and support fundraising initiatives that sustain WORTH’s mission. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in nonprofit storytelling, donor stewardship, and program & event promotion while supporting WORTH’s growing community of women leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Social Media

  • Contribute to content creation across WORTH’s portfolio of brands including both static and video content 

  • Build and maintain monthly content calendars aligned with campaign goals

  • Support the creation of campaign-specific content designed to drive audience engagement and conversion

  • Repurpose existing video and webinar content into short, shareable social media formats

  • Source and organize images and visuals to support storytelling across channels

Creative Production & Copywriting

  • Design graphics and visuals in Canva using established brand guidelines

  • Write and edit content for newsletters, event pages, and key sections of the website

  • Contribute to the creation of program-related materials, such as mentorship guides or impact reports

  • Assist in developing print materials (e.g., presentation decks, signage,  letterhead)

Fundraising & Organizational Support

  • Assist with donor stewardship, track goals, cultivate in-kind partners, and help implement strategies.

  • Manage communications: respond to general inquiries and support partnership outreach.

  • Maintain systems: handle data entry, cleanup, and administration of CRM, LMS, and file storage.

  • Keep Google drive, Canva workspace and brand asset library organized and up to date

  • Support administration of the LMS, enrolment drives, student support, and progress tracking

  • Assist with live event coverage, including capturing short-form video, collecting behind-the-scenes content, and documenting key moments for real-time or future use

  • Support coordination of event participation requirements such as bios, photos, honorariums, and travel

  • Support volunteer coordination on event day

Who You Are

  • A current post-secondary student (college or university) in a program related to hospitality, tourism, marketing, communications or a related field

  • A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have refugee status

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada

  • Detail-oriented, self-directed, and organized

  • Passionate about equity, inclusion, and uplifting women in the workforce

  • Familiar with Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Instagram, LinkedIn, Canva, and email marketing platforms

  • Comfortable working remotely and communicating clearly in writing
